Reinstein/Ross was founded in 1985 by jewelry designer Susan Reinstein and her partner, gem expert Brian Ross. Susan had gained a lot of attention for her fresh and luxurious jewelry design, and the opening of Reinstein/Ross in
Soho was an immediate success. The combination of the classical goldsmithing techniques, custom alloys of unique colors of high carat gold, and exotic colored precious stones were immediately recognized by both consumers and the fashion press. Reinstein/Ross has continued to maintain a loyal following that includes jewelry collectors, fashion icons, and celebrities. Wedding couples who find Reinstein/Ross in time for their nuptials come back regularly to add pieces to mark all occasions.

 

Reinstein/Ross opened a second shop near Madison Avenue at 73rd Street in 1987, and all fabrication was moved to this location right away. Even today, all of our work is hand fabricated, in our shop in Manhattan to impeccable standards of quality. Labor-intensive and not “practical” in today’s mass produced jewelry industry, our classical fabrication is an integral part of our jewelry, and the open workshop is a part of the magic of our store and our company.
